Angry Birds Space

As some of you might have already noticed, Angry Birds Space has come out on Friday 23 March 2012. Luckily I was watching TV, because one of the advertisements had Angry Birds Space on the screen. It reminded me that on the day I was watching the advertisement, it was coming out. I knew this because almost every morning, my teacher puts a children's newspaper up on the interactive whiteboard, and one time, it was about Angry Birds Space. I got the app the day it was out, and it only costs about NZ $1.29. I am already on the second planet, and on each planet there are 30 levels. If you compared the regular Angry Birds to Angry Birds Space, you would see that some of the angry birds are used differently. Actually, they LOOK like they're being used differently, but they are being used for the same thing. Have fun!

Bean Seed Days 10 and 13

As you might have recognized from the title of this blog post, these are my plants! That's right, my bean seeds! The one on the top is Day 10, but in the morning. The one in the middle is day 10, but in the afternoon. The one on the bottom is day 13. Hasn't it changed so much? I had to transplant the beans into a different pot, and I realized that the bean's roots are SO big! When most people transplant, lots of the roots fall off, and they might die. I have been observing the beans and found out that they aren't dying - YET...  

Bean Seed - Day 6

This was the bean seed that sprouted the first - well, guess what? The skin peeled off and showed the real sprout underneath. We have been shining the light on all of the seeds and they have been growing much better since then! Now, the rest of the bean seeds (there are 2 more) have sprouted as well. But the other beans' didn't exactly lose their skin the same way. Actually, they didn't lose their skin at all!

Bean Seed - Day 4

It's now day 4 and one of the bean seeds has started to germinate - that means that the skin has broken and a little shoot is pointing out. You can see it if you look very closely on the right of the photo. It's very cold in Hong Kong right now, so we're going to put the glasshouse under a reading light to keep it warm.

Bean Seed - Day 1

I got a cool greenhouse set for Christmas, and I already got started on my first seed! (Well, not technically, I have planted bean seeds before.) This is what the bean seed looks like on day 1. I love planting - because it's just like how we grow, we need food and water, and the plants need food and water. We need care and the plants need care. I think it's just like watching us grow and how we change - except that what we are watching plants grow and change.

My sleepover with my Best Friend

 

Today, I had the most exciting sleepover with my best friend, Vanessa. Vanessa has also written on her blog about our sleepover. We had an exciting drawing contest. We drew a rose, an alien in a closet, a girl with pink hair with a bag on her back, a Christmas tree, and an angel. We watched a movie called 'Hair Spray'. We started at around 7:00 or 8:00 so the movie ended at around 10:00.

This picture I took is from the flower show in Hong Kong about one and a half years ago - I took quite a lot of pictures but thought this one was the best out of at least one hundred and fifty pictures. Quite a hard choice! This flower usually explains how I feel most of the time - like I'm different somehow, but in a good way.

Spy Cat!

This picture shows my cat, Merlin. Merlin's natural color is black, and a few bits of white sometimes if you look closely, but we cannot see that now though. I called this picture 'Spy Cat!' because Spies can see in the dark and they probably live in the dark, too. But this picture was taken a moment before he leaped  off the window.

Tuen Ng Festival

These are some pictures of the Tuen Ng Festival, also known as 'Dragon boat day'. I took these pictures in Discovery Bay. The first one shows two dragon boats including my dad's team, paddling out to the starting line. There is a 'pirate ship' in the background, and the 'pirates' in the 'pirate ship' are waiting to attack! The second photo shows the dragon head on the front of one of the dragon boats. These photos are special to me because my dad is in one of these teams, 'The Mighty Dragoneers'...

Fritzy and Merlin

Yep, you guessed it. It is Fritzy - AGAIN. But this time he is with his friend, Merlin. In this picture, as you can see, Merlin is JUST opening his eye, and Fritzy's eyes are still half asleep...

Hahaha, Funny Fritzy can't win when it comes to taking pictures!!! This is a picture of my cat... I tried to take a normal picture but he refused to smile so he stuck his tongue out!

Flowers in Macau

This was an exciting day in Macau, I stayed in a 5 star hotel called 'Club Westin'. This is a close-up picture of a rose and I ALWAYS take pictures of what I feel like. As you can see in this picture you could tell I was happy at that time.
